Under the best of circumstances the transition from high school to college can be challenging, but especially if you don’t have a solid support system. We know. Some of us have been there.
Our nonprofit organization offers a special mentoring program for selected young women in the Bossier City, LA community. At the beginning of the school year, girls from each school are accepted into our mentorship program. Upon completion, some will receive a college scholarship if they meet the pre-disclosed criteria and qualifications.
The Mentoring Committee works with the counselors from each high school in Bossier Parish to receive applications from a preselected number of senior girls who will have the opportunity to participate in this program. The young ladies chosen greatly benefit from the support, experience and love given to them on this journey during their senior year.
