The Mentorship program had a huge impact on my senior year! It allowed me to have so many incredible experiences I would never have had otherwise! I was able to meet girls my age from other areas who shared similar interests and goals. My mentor is someone I will never forget. She taught me so much and showed me what it means to be active in the community, and is truly one of the best people I know. Overall, the experience was amazing and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
Howdy! My name is Abbie Rutledge. I was a part of the Commission for Women of Bossier City (CWBC) mentoring program for the 2019-2020 school year. This program was one of my favorite parts of my senior year. I learned so many things including how to change a tire, self defense, and proper dinner table etiquette. This program provided me with such great experiences, and I am so glad I was able to be a part of such an incredible program.
Along with all of the amazing things I learned, I met some amazing people. I met other senior girls in the area that I would not have had the opportunity to get to know otherwise. I also was able to grow close to both my mentor and other mentors in the program. This strengthened my relationship building skills and provided me with relationships that I will cherish for the rest of my life
The Commission for Women Bossier City impacted my life in a number of ways. Being a member of the CWBC allowed me to make connections with many people and also taught me so many things I didn’t think I even needed to know. The women of CWBC are all so caring and helpful and if I could do it all over again I most certainly would. The opportunities that come with being a part of this organization are amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get involved!
